Many many Turns ago dragonmen served the people as protectors from the deadly silver strands known as Thread. Over time their numbers decreased as they had every Interval. The dragons always came back as did the brave men and women who rode them. This time was different. At first the Dragonriders were certain Thread would come even after two hundred Turns. The Queens did not lay more eggs but small clutches. Eventually, the Lord Holders known for their greed and longing to rule Pern without the dragonmen, were not convinced Thread would be coming back. Three hundred Turns had passed and there was no record of a long Interval. So it was that the Dragonriders were banished from the Northern Continent to dwell alone in the South. Another hundred Turns passed and no sign of the dragons or their riders remained except in teaching songs sung by Harpers. Had they left Pern to fend for itself? Were they gone forever? As gloomy as that idea is the next is harder to bear. The Holds are now on the brink of Civil War. Thread believed to be legend by most Holders, is well on its way, creating dust storms in northern High Reaches and parts of Telgar. Though not all of the Holds believe this to be true Telgar, High Reaches, Igen, Nerat and Keroon have joined forces and are about to embark on a journey to the Southern Continent to search for the Dragonriders. Who could fault them for their ancestor's mistakes? The rest of Pern, not so pleased with this idea, are prepared to go to war over the issue. They are unaware that the mission is already underway. The Crafthalls sent their support to the loyal Holders by giving one of each of their apprentices to the mission. The loyal Holders were not going to let the Crafthalls get all of the glory and so decided to send their own children and other youths deemed worthy. All people who would not be missed. The youths were sent instead of older people for who could blame a teenager for the mistakes of their forefathers? They were stronger and healthier than older people and they would not be missed by those seeking to find out about the mission at hand. It has been two seven days since the mission started. They were on their way to the unknown. Beyond the white shores of the Southern Continent lay their destiny. Our Clutching has happened!! Stop by for Egg Guessing! Here's a glimpse of some of the thirty-five eggs: * The Enchanting Great Queen Egg - Large and beautiful, this queen egg is a stunning shade of gold. The egg itself is of a slightly darker hue than it’s sunny-colored mother, but it still holds that same iridescent sheen as Aeriath. The bottom is a darker shade, and as it travels upward, the color slowly fades until there is a spot of white-gold at the tip of the shell. Upon approaching, you can feel this egg weighing you, as if she is judging if you are worthy or not. If you still have the courage to draw near, the Enchanting Great Queen Egg exudes power, a sense of royalty, and confidence. * The Bloody War Egg – One of the darkest eggs, the Bloody War Egg appears dangerous. Black makes up the greater part of the coloring, dominant on the bottom and top while a dark grey band stretches across the middle. Deep, blood-red splatters can be found throughout the shell in a macabre pattern. Pulsing with courage and masculinity, this one leaves little to the imagination. * The Lightening King Egg – An unusual design, this egg is of mostly a muted shade, dark and light greys swirling about the shell like thunderclouds. However, streaked through the cloudy patterns are thin veins of bright yellow, threading in and out of the hazy greys like lightening. An aura of valor and a strong will constantly surround the Lightening King Egg. * The Sweet Love Egg – One of the most unique eggs to be seen, the Sweet Love Egg is a distinctive collection of colors. Pale, soft pink is the dominant hue for the shell, covering from top to bottom in one uniform shade. A slightly darker pink is brushed about in small, uneven patches, as well as tiny sprinkles of white. This egg feels gentle and affectionate. We are in need of many Candidates as this is a large clutch... and perhaps the sign of Threads inevitable return? Our clutch theme is Songs of Olde, based on Gods and Goddesses of many cultures. “Do not trust to hope. It has forsaken these lands.”
In every world, big or small, hate seeks to destroy all that is good. Even those who have sworn their lives to protect it. The Dragonriders have found hate in the form of the Holdless of the Southern Continent. Having been banished to the South over 100 Turns ago, they are facing more trials than simply whether to help the Holders of the North. The Holdless are attacking cotholds that are under the protection of the Weyr. The target being the Weyr itself. This is a threat they can no longer afford to ignore.
The North, in its infinite wisdom, has pretty much disregarded the signs of Threads return. Now at the start of Turn 1259 they are beginning to realize the error of their ways. Thread, the enemy of all, has begun to fall in warmer areas of the North, while dust storms grow worse in High Reaches and Telgar. Holds will be lost, people will die and all their hope rests on an Expedition that technically never existed as it was not even sanctioned by the Conclave. One question is now on the minds of the Holders who sent them, were the dragonriders alive or was Pern doomed to end?
Pern's fate rests on the shoulders of the men and women who swore to protect it and their dragons.
“Certainty of death, small chance of success... What are we waiting for?”
Currently looking for anyone who wants to be involved in our plots. We need Dragonriders, Candidates, Weyrlings, Holdless, Northern Holders and are even accepting Northern people to become Candidates soon. Leader for the Holdless is greatly desired!

At least things could not get any worse, he thought, glancing down at his sleeping green dragon. The worst of it was he had failed when the Expedition had failed. They found the dragonriders alright but convincing the banished men and women of the South to fight Thread in the North was not a compelling argument. Now, after spotting the Red Star himself, he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the people of the North were dealing with Threadfall. His family could be dying unprotected on the Northern Continent.
He was not only a dragonrider, he was a Lord Holder's son as well and he was torn. On the one side, the Weyr was understrength and could not protect everyone, on the other he felt an obligation to serve his family.
After the events of this morning though everything had changed. His life and fate was now tied in so deeply with the other dragonriders he had no choice. There were only two Weyr's in the South and Haven Weyr had suffered a major attack by the Holdless. The facts were disheartening. Two Queenriders dead and their own precious Gold, Rhiannoth would be transferred to Haven in order to save the other Weyr. Their numbers were already small and the loss of so many more was catastrophic.
N'var glanced once more at his green, the world needed to be saved. But what could any one person do? What could he do? He was just a greenrider. Nemesyth lifted her head, You are a dragonrider of Pern. You will fight. The green dragon was right, she was always right.
Join Expedition Pern and see a world being torn apart by hate, anger, greed and Threadfall.

The Dragonriders of Pern having been sentenced to exile on the Southern Continent more than one hundred Turns ago, face a world of turmoil, terror and hatred. The two small Weyrs of the South, Refuge and Haven have more than Thread as an enemy. Haven having been attacked by a group known as the Holdless, lost both Queen dragons. Refuge in response to the disaster sent its younger Queen, Rhiannoth to help the faltering Weyr. Now in their time of most dire need, Refuge’s Queen Aeriath has laid another Golden Egg among eleven others of varying sizes. "The Ram, the Bull, the Heavenly Twins, And next the Crab, the Lion shines, The Virgin and the Scales. The Scorpion, Archer, and the Goat, The Man who holds the Watering Pot, And Fish with glittering scales. "What could be better than a large egg? A large, golden hued egg. The Maiden of the Sky Egg, is more Golden than the sun that shines and the largest egg in the clutch. The only golden shell makes it easy to determine that this egg contains a Queen. As if the size and presence of the egg were not telling enough. The egg awes from afar and also intrigues when up close. From a distance all one can see is the almost blinding shade of Gold on the shell. However, upon closer inspection one notices the dark blue dots on the egg forming the look of a sideways "y" with a long tail. The constellation is known on Earth as Virgo. This egg gives off feelings of practicality and efficiency. Also the feeling of being analyzed sweeps through those who dare approach her. Second largest egg on the Sands, this egg's coloring rivals that of the others. A deep forest green covers the egg, with beautiful golden specks all around the top of the egg. Staring with what looks like the top of a curved cane the shape of the specks begins to take form. Following from there as if drawing a line one can see an almost straight connection between the dots. This culminates in what looks a like a large triangle (very odd). This constellation is known to all on Earth as Leo. A feeling of arrogance and pride emanates from the dark shell of The King of the Jungle Egg. A magnanimous kind of generosity follows though it seems a bit contradictory. A good size neither very large nor very small, The Wise Adventurer Egg does not seem to stand out from the crowd physically. Midnight blue with tan colored dots, like the others the dots make a vivid shape. In fact the most interesting feature is the shape on the side of the egg. At first its hard to make out but if one looks long enough the bow is easily visible. The shape when the dots are connected is that of a person holding a bow. It is in fact the shape of a Hunter, also known as Sagittarius by Earth dwellers. The egg gives off feelings of wisdom and restlessness. More than either is a feeling of a need for adventure. Smallest of the clutch, the last egg of the day and more importantly the culmination of a wonderful clutch. The shell of the small egg is a swirling of light blues and greens with a sheen almost silvery. The Sensitive Dreamer Egg has speckling as well but the colors are hard to see, as they mix with the others, a light yellow shape is formed from the specks that are visible. The image is a sideways "V" with a circle on one arm and a triangle on the other. The represents two fish swimming towards one another's tails known on Earth as Pisces. The egg itself emits a dreamy happy feeling, as if the rose colored glasses are always on. There is an evident sense of compassion and caring coming from the egg. Can you reach for the stars and Impress one of these dragons? Advertisements~*~ Home Page~*~ Joining~*~ Our Story
