This is subject to change- no eggs will be lost, but some might be added. How exciting!
Beast to Man Egg- This large egg sits near the outskirts of the clutch, as if it has been exiled from its siblings. It's easy to see why they might not like whatever it contains- the egg is dark and misshapen, hues mainly brown and green. They sit uneasily on the shell in a pattern that looks like tangled undergrowth, with two malevolent eyes staring out. Only brave Candidates dare to touch this egg, and those who do say that it feels foreign- not at all like the other eggs. It is rough where they are smooth, and even the shape is off.
Man to Beast Egg- This smaller egg has two distinct halves. One is a navy blue, respectable but rather staid, unbroken by any other colors. That half is none too interesting to look at, but for a certain sort of person, it may be compelling enough. The other half though.. The other half is something different. It's the smaller half, for one thing, but it seems to loom so much larger. It's a violent, virulent red, streaked with brown. It looks most unpleasantly bloody, and it's position at the outskirts of the clutch is understood. The dying Queen seems to want to get it away as much as possible, and whenever she turns it, she's careful to leave the navy side most visible.
It's Alive Egg- It was a dark and stormy night... Oh wait, wrong story. This is a dark and stormy egg though, dark grey streaked with lighter yellow, almost like bolts of lightening. It is a giant of the clutch, hulking over everything except the egg that contains the future Queen. It sits near her, oddly protective, for all its fearsome appearance. It's beautiful though- compelling. Bets go around as to what it might contain, but as no one has x-ray vision, they can only wait and see.
Coils within Coils Egg- This medium sized egg sits near the center of the clutch, and if size were all that mattered, would go completely unnoticed in favor of larger, or smaller, siblings. But color and pattern do matter, and the Coils within Coils Egg is certainly a flashy creature. The predominant color appears to be deep, navy blue- almost black, but not quite. Sprinkled on the navy are coils of electric blue, intersecting with each other in perfect loops. The egg seems to crackle with electricity and excitement, and it certainly draws the eye with its bright color and complicated pattern.
Softly Glowing Egg- Speaking of attention grabbing eggs... This small egg fits the bill. It's green, and it almost seems to glow. It stands to attention, even though it's not in the center or fringes of the clutch. It seems to pulsate gently, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. If eggs could be said to be curious, this one would be- it almost seems to lean towards the Candidates, wanting to know who they are, even at the risk of damaging its shell.
Use of Tools Egg- This egg is also quite large, but it seems like the most gentle of the clutch. Its greens are soft, and its browns blend gently. Is is neither too light nor too dark. It is the most traditionally colored of the eggs, remaining largely tan, with green splotches throughout. Some would call it soothing, while others would call it boring. There is something about the egg though... Something seems to be important about it. There's a discovery to be made within the shell, even if others are unwilling to see that.
Silent Spring Egg- The Queen egg. It is large, and it is golden. Besides that though, it is a darker color, with a lighter streak that meanders in a haphazard way, almost like a rivulet of water. It looks as if it badly needs some other colors- the gold is almost too barren. It's quite a small egg, as far as Queen eggs go, though it is, of course, the largest in the clutch. It is also very, very fragile in appearance, as if one delicate gust could upset the entire egg, and send it spilling prematurely onto the sand. Simulth guards it zealously, and will not even leave to eat.
A Model Egg- Everything is so exact about the egg. It is exactly in the middle of the clutch size wise, and stands, in fact, exactly in the middle, quite near the Silent Spring egg. It has concentric wings like the Coils egg, but whereas that is messy and blue, this one is neat, centering around a single dash of brown in an otherwise unimpressive tan shell. It would be the most traditionally colored, were the rings not bright orange. The egg seems almost embarrassed by that fact, trying to get away from those bright smirches of color.
Changes Egg- Well, this egg is certainly small, isn't it? But it's not to be forgotten, vying for most outrageous in the clutch with the Perfection of the Apple egg. Red is so subtle though. Isn't pink much nicer? And a fading pink gradation even nicer than that? The egg certainly changes in color, but there's more than that to it. Or is there? There is one splotch of black that covers the very top of the egg that some see as a sign that the dragonet within is not totally a lost cause. Others would argue that that makes it all the more obvious that it is.
Heliocentric Egg- If shells indicated hide, this egg would resemble Allonseth. On its deep, dark blue color, it is sprinkled with white, coupled with larger green orbs. They all seem to center on a central orange dot, almost perfectly circular. There's a sense of movement about them, as if they circle the orange. But that's impossible, isn't it? This egg is slightly on the smaller side, but it is by no means tiny.
Genius Egg- This egg is almost pure white, with only slight streaks of electric yellow near the top of the shell to break the tedium. It's about mid sized, and entirely average in every other respect, save that it seems to sparkle with some kind of inner electricity. It exhibits the most movement out of any of its siblings, and seems to be developing at a faster rate than all the rest. Hopefully it won't hatch before hand. That would just be bad form, wouldn't it?
Perfection of the Apple Egg- This smaller egg is very, very red. In fact, it is entirely red. And it glows. This egg demands your attention, and it will not suffer you to go looking at its stupid gold sister instead. Why would you look at her? She's not perfect. This egg is. It is the perfect shape, the perfect compact size, and the perfect shade of unbroken red. Messing with any other egg would just be silly.
