| Southern Weyr |
| The Weyrbowl
Southern Weyr is located on a grassy plateau overlooking the ocean and framed by an extinct volcano on the other side. The Weyrbowl is a grassy greensward with a lake in the middle, falling off one edge in a waterfall.

| The Weyr Lake
A large, fresh water lake in the center of the Weyr, naturally formed. Dragons bathe in it, and it is the source of most water in the Weyr. Feel free to swim and play- just stay upstream of the herdbeasts!

| The Stables
This is where runners are kept from various visitors. A common chore for Candidates is mucking and keeping the stables spotless.

| The Feeding Grounds
Herdbeasts, wherries, and runners are kept in a large pen on the grass for dragons to feed on. There's a ledge overlooking the grounds for the curious to watch.

| The Dining Hall
Largely used only for formal events, the massive Dining Hall contains long tables for guests and Weyr residents to sit at, and a head table for rankers. There are a few tapestries hung on the walls to soften the hard wood up.

| The Kitchens
Fairly self-explanatory. Cooking for the Weyr goes on here, and there's a small room where most meals occur. There's always some hot klah on, and most of the workers are more than happy to serve up some tasty treats.

| The Infirmary
Sick and injured Weyr residents go here to be treated by the Healers. It always smells faintly of fellis and numbweed.

| Weyr Resident Huts
Where all the other Weyr residents live. A series of wooden huts, often one big room, overlooking the ocean. Not a bad place to be, all things considered. Drudges share one larger hut together and lack the privacy other residents get.

| Herb Garden
The Weyr is able to grow a few herbs and vegetables for their own use, lessening their reliance on outside tithes. There are a few benches placed, and on the whole it's quite pretty.

| Individual Weyrs
Southern dragon weyrs are large clears in the jungle, shaded by trees and a wooden lean to when the weather is poor. They are big enough for the dragon and rider, and a few belongings.

| Candidate Barracks
Wooden barracks built into the side of the extinct volcano, right by the entrance to the Hatching Grounds. There are two long hallways, one for men, and one for women. Each room holds two occupants in bunkbeds, and two chests. They are quite small.

| Weyrling Barracks
Similar in structure to the Candidate Barracks, and also built by the side of the volcano. There are two large rooms with stone couches- one for men, and one for women. There is significantly less privacy than Candidates receive.

| Wher Quarters
The only set of rooms to actually be carved into the volcano, to maintain darkness. Each wher handler gets their own room, and they go to it immediately after Impressing.

| Hatching Grounds
Built in an extinct volcano, there is one large entrance for human beings, and numerous smaller ones further up the ledge for dragons. Stands are carved into the stone and elevated for a nice view. It's kept warm at all times.

| The Open Skies
Mating Flights take place here. It's the sky.

| Outside the Weyr |
| The Beach
A pleasant, warm, sandy beach to go relax on. You can reach it by taking the steps down the cliffside. The ocean water is warm and tropical, and very clear. The sands are white and pure.

| The Jungle
Southern Weyr's plateau extends into the jungle. While beautiful in a dark sort of way, it's not recommended that anyone goes wandering. The jungle is known territory for felines and wild whers.

| Southern Hold
Located about five miles from the Weyr, Southern hold is also made mainly of wood.
